Supported living for young adults

What support do vulnerable young adults need?
For young people aged 16-25, living independently after leaving care can seem like a giant leap forward, and they may encounter obstacles along the way. Homelessness is widespread, and young adults can lack confidence and the necessary resources to move their lives forward. They need the right level of support to take those first crucial steps, to build self confidence and a sense of trust in others, and to be able to demonstrate their own trustworthiness.
For local authorities and other professionals working with vulnerable young adults, the challenge is to find practical solutions to make independent living a reality for the people they are helping to support.
